Ron Dearing University Technical College (RDUTC) seeks an English Lead Practitioner.

The successful candidate will work with the Senior Assistant Principal Teaching & Learning and the wider Leadership Team to:

Lead on the quality assurance of teaching and learning across the curriculum via scrutiny of curriculum plans, lesson visits and work scrutiny
Mentor teachers on the Good to Outstanding programme
Mentor ECTs and SCITTs
Deliver CPD to support inclusive teaching and learning across the school
Teach English Language and English Literature to GCSE
Lead strategies to make English as a subject relevant to the world of work
Co-ordinate employer- engaged learning within the English department
Support students with writing CVs, personal statements and letters of application for university, jobs and apprenticeships
Contribute to strategies to raise students’ awareness of English-related careers
