Senior Pharmacy Support Worker ()
Substantive Full Time – 36 hours per week. Band 3 salary range £29,103 to £31,409 per annum. Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 per annum.
OverviewJoin the pharmacy team as a Senior Pharmacy Support Worker (SPSW). The post holder will work alongside pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to ensure medicines are provided safely and efficiently within the hospital, vaccination centre, and other NHS sites.
Responsibilities- Receiving and distributing medicines.
- Stock management.
- Dispensing medicines.
- Supporting the vaccine service.
- Homecare provision.
- Procurement duties.
- Providing top‑up service to wards and departments.
- Date checking.
- Cleaning duties.
- Administrative tasks such as filing.
- SVQ in Pharmacy Services (SCQF Level
6) or equivalent. - Three Standard Grades, including English and Mathematics, and at least one other subject (considered for a training post).
- Previous hospital experience is desirable.
- Salary Band 3: £29,103 to £31,409 per annum.
- Distant Island Allowance: £2,578 per annum.

Within three months of commencing, you will be expected to comply with the Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.
