Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a busy team in Pennsylvania. This contract position offers the opportunity to support day-to-day accounting operations in a fully onsite environment while contributing to accurate financial recordkeeping and smooth transaction processing. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with core bookkeeping functions and is comfortable managing both payables and receivables in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

- Process a high volume of vendor invoices each week, including verifying documentation, assigning codes, and preparing payments for scheduled check runs.

- Record incoming payments accurately and maintain up-to-date accounts receivable balances to support timely cash application.

- Enter and track fuel-related invoices within the company's accounting system to ensure complete and accurate expense records.

- Assist with general ledger activities by posting financial data and supporting the accuracy of account balances.

- Perform bank reconciliations and review discrepancies to help maintain reliable financial reporting.

- Maintain organized financial schedules and supporting records for routine bookkeeping and reporting needs. Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting support role.

- Hands-on knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Experience working with Quick Books or comparable accounting software.

- Ability to complete bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.

- Solid understanding of general ledger entries and day-to-day financial transactions.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in an onsite office environment.
