Job Description & How to Apply Below
We pride ourselves on executing seamless project deliveries on time, keeping multi-million-pound properties safe, operational, and beautifully finished.
Role Introduction
We are seeking a proactive and ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team based out of our Leatherhead office. Working across both our commercial fit-out/refurbishment projects and bespoke maintenance contracts, you will assist senior commercial team members in managing project budgets, subcontractor accounts, and cost reporting. This is an exceptional opportunity for a hungry junior surveyor to gain dual exposure to specialized commercial construction packages and high-volume asset management frameworks within a supportive, tech-forward environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in preparing cost estimates, commercial tenders, and budget breakdowns for interior fit-out and specialized facilities maintenance works.
· Support subcontract management, including compiling enquiry packages, analyzing returned quotations, and preparing trade contracts.
· Conduct site measurements, record progress variations, and assist in the valuation of works for monthly client invoicing.
· Maintain meticulous digital cost control records, assisting with monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and project expenditure forecasting.
· Liaise with site managers, engineers, and supply chain partners to review delivery progress and process subcontractor payments.
· Assist in compiling final accounts and securing the necessary commercial documentation for client handovers.
Skills and Experience
· A degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related construction/built environment discipline.
· 1–3 years of commercial experience within a main contractor, interior fit-out specialist, or facilities management environment.
· Strong numerical accuracy and technical understanding of drawing take-offs and measurements.
· Proficient in MS Excel and highly adaptable to utilizing cloud-based project management software and live asset dashboards.
· Articulate communication style with the confidence to negotiate professionally with subcontractors and suppliers.
· Full UK driving licence.
Remuneration and Benefits Package
· Competitive base salary (negotiable depending on experience)
· Performance-driven bonus structure
· Corporate pension plan and health benefits
· Structured pathways toward professional chartership (RICS/ICES)
· Funded training and ongoing career development mapping
