As a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, cognitive, and social well‑being. Other responsibilities include maintaining a safe living and working environment, reporting any changes in residents' condition, supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for activities, and establishing links with the local community.

Shift Details: 9 am - 5 pm

We support the people who care for our residents, celebrating and supporting our team to make a positive impact on residents' lives every day.   • Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to a positive and professional image.
  • Reporting any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
  • Supporting ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
  • Establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.

  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the role's interaction in general well‑being of people.
  • Positive attitude toward older people and commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
  • Previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing dementia setting.
  • Willing and able to drive the company minibus. Must be 25 years or older.
  • Willingness to work a 9 am - 5 pm shift and be flexible with tasks.

  • ADBDS Disclosure check, cost covered by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
