IT Level 3 Apprenticeship - Berry Group

Support colleagues, set up devices and learn cyber security, networking and systems administration with a dedicated mentor.

• IT support. Provide first-line support, log and prioritise tickets, troubleshoot routine issues and elevate when needed. Help with staff onboarding and offboarding.
• Hardware and software. Set up and deploy laptops, desktops and mobile devices; install and configure applications; maintain accurate IT asset records.
• Network support. Assist with monitoring and connectivity troubleshooting while learning about Wi-Fi, VPNs and network infrastructure.
• Systems administration. Support user accounts and permissions, backups, updates and routine maintenance under supervision.
• Cyber security. Support security monitoring and good security practices. Identify, report and help document potential threats using the team’s procedures.
• Learning and documentation. Complete apprenticeship coursework and assessments, maintain your training portfolio and document solutions clearly.

• 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
• Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

Working hours: 40 hours per week. Cobham is your base, with travel expected across the group. During your first three months you will be based at Cobham and paired with a colleague for site visits. After six months, you can normally begin visiting sites independently, depending on your progress and readiness.

• Salary £20,000 - £23,000/year
