Support Worker, Youth Support Worker

We are looking for a compassionate, resilient and experienced Residential Support Workers to join a therapeutic residential home supporting young people with complex needs.

Due to the level of support required, staffing is maintained at a 2:1 ratio at all times.

The home takes a therapeutic approach, focusing on understanding individual needs, recognising potential triggers and creating a safe, calm and supportive environment.

• Sleep-ins may be available when completing back-to-back shifts

• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
• Provide emotional and social support, helping young people develop positive relationships and engage with their local community.
• Act as a positive role model through appropriate behaviour, communication and emotional regulation.
• Keep young people engaged throughout shifts by providing meaningful activities and reducing boredom.
• Use effective de-escalation techniques to manage conflict safely and appropriately.
• Follow Behaviour Support Plans, Risk Assessments and Individual Care Plans at all times.
• Complete accurate and detailed daily records, including incidents, behaviours and significant events.
