Grade Foreman

The Scruggs Company is currently searching for an experienced Grade Foreman for our Cochran location. With over 65 years of proven success, the Scruggs Company is an established, growing, heavy highway, site construction contractor and asphalt manufacturer.

Basic Duties:

• Responsible for the safe and efficient management of the crew and equipment on all assigned projects.
• Maintain all logs, daily reports and ensure that all time records are accurately entered each day.
• Ensure that personnel and sub-contractors are complying with company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform daily JSA meetings with the project teams and conduct weekly Toolbox Talks.
• Assist and direct crews in the use of equipment and resources.
• Manage quality of work, productivity and costs associated with the project.
• Maintain good relations with the public, engineers, inspectors and the customer.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Foreman in heavy civil construction
• Previous self-perform experience with grading and site work operations, water/sewer/storm drain construction, asphalt paving
• Experience with plans and crew and equipment scheduling
• Valid driver's license with positive driving history
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must be legally authorized to work in the USA
