In this Nurse Practitioner role at VON, you'll engage with diverse populations, offering advanced nursing services focused on assessment, health management, and education. This position demands strong leadership, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills, emphasizing evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive health assessments and formulate diagnoses
• Implement and evaluate management plans with clients and families
• Prescribe and manage therapies with medication reconciliation
• Conduct and interpret various diagnostic tests
• Address systemic barriers and promote health equity
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner diploma
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in community health
• Current registration with provincial College of Nurses
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Commitment to trauma-informed and harm reduction care
