Location : Kapuskasing, ON
Green First is looking for a Sawmill Cleaner to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a reliable, safety-minded individual who enjoys hands-on work in an industrial environment. As a Sawmill Cleaner, you’ll help keep our operation clean and safe while supporting day-to-day mill activities. You’ll also have the opportunity to train on entry-level production positions and provide relief support when needed.

Clean and maintain designated areas of the sawmill, including floors, walkways, work areas.Sweep, shovel, and remove sawdust, wood debris, and other materials as required.Empty garbage containers and dispose of waste in designated areas.Use cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively.Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.Identify and report potential safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.Perform other cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned.Perform fire watch duties for maintenance hot work.Be trained on entry level operator positions to be a relief on production when needed3-week rotating Schedule (Day: 7am-3pm, Night: 11pm-7am, Evening: 3pm-11pm)Other related duties as assigned.Requirements
:
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.Physically capable of performing manual cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and shovelling.Comfortable working in an industrial environment with exposure to sawdust, noise, and varying temperatures.Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices.Ability to follow instructions and work safely around industrial equipment.Previous industrial or commercial cleaning experience is considered an asset.Experience working in a sawmill or other industrial setting is an asset.
