Engineer ~ Lakes

Based at our Cockermouth office, we are currently looking for an Engineer to join our talented team to work on complex and interesting projects.

At Eadon Consulting, we solve complexmechanicalengineering challenges through innovative design and analysis.

Our engineers work on a diverse portfolio of projects across,bridges,nuclear, water,cleanenergyand specialist mechanical equipment, taking concepts through to delivery.

You will be working alongside other engineers and designers as an integral part of the team solving a wide variety of engineering problems.

Typical tasks could include:

• Using engineering fundamentals and your mathematical ability to check that designs work;
• Producing 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using Solidworks to enable the design to be made;

Our projects come in a variety of shapes and sizes, giving our team the opportunity to rapidly gain broad experience and skills.

An ideal candidate would:

• Have enthusiasm for solving engineering problems, and the drive to learn and take ownership of your own development;
• Solid technical grasp of first principles engineering mechanics;
• Previous experience in a similar role, note this role is not suitable for a recent graduate;
• Have an engineering degree or equivalent qualification;
• Have the ability towork and communicate effectively with other people;
• The ability to self-organiseandprioritiseyour workload;
• Experience of carrying out engineering calculations.
