Contingent Recruitment Manager – Nuclear

Reporting to:

Salary: £40–45K basic | £80K OTE
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contract Recruitment Manager to lead and grow our nuclear contract division. This role focuses on delivering high-quality contract recruitment solutions across civil nuclear, decommissioning, new build, SMRs, defence nuclear and regulated energy environments.
You will drive contract revenue growth, manage key nuclear accounts (including Site Licence Companies and Tier 1 contractors), ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a high-performing recruitment team. This is a strategic leadership role with hands-on billing responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Growth
* Develop and execute a nuclear contract growth strategy aligned to sector demand.
* Build relationships with SLCs, Tier 1 & 2 contractors, NDA organisations and framework stakeholders.
* Identify opportunities across major programmes (e.g. Sellafield, HPC, SZC, MoD nuclear).
* Negotiate rate cards, margins and framework agreements.
* Represent the business at industry events.
Delivery & Compliance
* Oversee full contract lifecycle in regulated environments.
* Ensure compliance with IR35, AWR, Right to Work and security clearance requirements (BPSS, SC, DV).
* Maintain audit-ready documentation aligned to nuclear standards.
Leadership & Commercial Management
* Lead and develop a nuclear-focused contract team.
* Monitor KPIs including revenue, GP, contractor headcount and redeployment.
* Manage divisional P&L, forecast revenue and protect margins.
* Support complex negotiations and senior placements.
Experience Required
* Proven contract recruitment leadership within UK nuclear.
* Strong framework and PSL experience.
* In-depth knowledge of IR35.
* Commercially driven with strong negotiation skills
