SUMMARY
The tag & title administrator prepares and processes tag and title work for the transfer of documents to the DMV for all states.
- Preparing tag and title documents
- Submitting all legal transfer documents to theDMV/MVA
- Keeping current with applicable laws. Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete including lienholder if any.
- Accurately provide refunds or requests funds for additional fees due. Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to the Office Manager.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. Job attendance is a key to performing this and other duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in a dealership (preferred)
- Previous tag and title experience (preferred)
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Must be able to multitask
