Overview
Join to apply for the Staff Continuous Improvement Engineer role at BD (Tissuemed Ltd).
Drive and sustain improvement programs and CI initiatives such as Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis, Process Optimization, Waste Reduction, OEE/Productivity, SMED. Facilitate blitzes/kaizens to support the SQDC initiatives. Perform time studies for manual activities. Design and continuously improve workstations layout and personnel arrangement. Perform routes and BOM studies and provide data to Master Data coordinator. Design and implement fixtures to improve safety, ergonomics and efficiencies.
Responsibilities- Root Cause Analysis, Waste Reduction, and OEE/Productivity assessment.
- Documenting and conducting Time Studies.
- Applying LEAN methodologies and FMEA analysis.
- Managing change and championing culture change.
- Leading continuous improvement strategy organization-wide.
- Developing metrics and measurement systems.
- Facilitating cost savings (A3) processes.
- Leading continuous improvement project management.
- Engaging, training and coaching employees to become active champions.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a Core Engineering field. 5+ years of Operational Excellence experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. 5+ years of Continuous Improvement experience, ideally with Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent. Technical support materials and coaching to the team. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US. & Experience
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a Core Engineering field. - Required:
Five+ years of Operational Excellence experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. - Preferred:
Project Management Professional (PMP). - Preferred:
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
- Demonstrated success in significant savings and cultural change projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and work well with others.
- Customer focus, innovative, results oriented.
- Self-sufficient and team oriented.
- Lives the continuous improvement philosophy and can motivate change successfully.
- Facilitation skills.
