Entry-Level Construction Engineer - Aviation

Base pay range

$28.07/hr - $38.59/hr

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Construction Engineer - Aviation to be based in Hunt Valley/Baltimore, Maryland
. This position is open to recent and Spring 2026 graduates and will begin as soon as available.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Perform construction administration and construction inspection.
• Serve as RPR/RE on the construction phase of airport projects within the region.
• Facilitate the construction management of the project through coordination with the Project Manager, Design Team, Contractor, and Owner.
• Track quantities and work progress utilizing field measurements and Civil 3D.
• Travel to airport project sites (expected 75%+ field work).
• Conduct civil engineering design and constructability reviews for airport projects to support design team.
• Complete designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematics, and final working drawings for preparation of construction plans related to airport development projects.
• Prepare construction specifications for airport development projects per FAA Advisory Circular 150/5370-10 and State requirements.
• Prepare design reports, schedules, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Collect and analyze data to support design and construction phases of projects.
• Use various computer software for design development and prepares plans in Civil 3D.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other airport/civil engineering, architectural, and engineering disciplines, sub-consultants, Utility companies, permitting agencies, contractors, government and regulatory agencies, and clients.
• Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to pass Federal background and criminal investigation checks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Office Software.
• Experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D design software.
• Experience in performing construction administration and inspection.
• Read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language.
