Base pay range
$28.07/hr - $38.59/hr
Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Construction Engineer - Aviation to be based in Hunt Valley/Baltimore, Maryland
. This position is open to recent and Spring 2026 graduates and will begin as soon as available.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Perform construction administration and construction inspection.
- Serve as RPR/RE on the construction phase of airport projects within the region.
- Facilitate the construction management of the project through coordination with the Project Manager, Design Team, Contractor, and Owner.
- Track quantities and work progress utilizing field measurements and Civil 3D.
- Travel to airport project sites (expected 75%+ field work).
- Conduct civil engineering design and constructability reviews for airport projects to support design team.
- Complete designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematics, and final working drawings for preparation of construction plans related to airport development projects.
- Prepare construction specifications for airport development projects per FAA Advisory Circular 150/5370-10 and State requirements.
- Prepare design reports, schedules, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
- Collect and analyze data to support design and construction phases of projects.
- Use various computer software for design development and prepares plans in Civil 3D.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other airport/civil engineering, architectural, and engineering disciplines, sub-consultants, Utility companies, permitting agencies, contractors, government and regulatory agencies, and clients.
- Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Ability to pass Federal background and criminal investigation checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Software.
- Experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D design software.
- Experience in performing construction administration and inspection.
- Read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language.
