Bridge Inspection Team Leader

Overview

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Bridge Inspection Team Leader for employment in the Hunt Valley, MD office. • Structural Inspection Team Leader for bridges and ancillary structures.
• Performing condition inspections of highway or other structures in a variety of environments including confined spaces and at height (training and personal protection equipment provided).
• Engaging in design, analysis, rehabilitation and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary structures.
• Preparing engineering calculations and developing drawings and visual aids.
• Working under the supervision of a project manager or a senior-level team member.

• Minimum Requirements:
  
  BA/BS plus 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• National Highway Institute (NHI) Certification for Bridge and/or Ancillary Structure Inspections (NHI Courses 130055, 130078, and 130087).
• Meets qualifications to be a Nationally Certified Bridge Inspector.
• Fundamental understanding of structural engineering principles, including steel and concrete design.
• Certified as a Bridge Inspection Team Leader in Maryland or the ability to obtain in Maryland within 6 months of hiring.
• Valid US Driver’s License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites, with Motor Vehicle Records review required as a condition of employment.
• US citizenship required due to the nature of the work.

• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.

• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
• Relocation support is not available for this position.
• This position may require some weeknight and/or weekend work as well as overnight work.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is USD 90,000 - USD 115,000 per year.
