Commercial Insurance Account Representative - July 2026 Career Development Program

Join USI Insurance Services as a Commercial Insurance Account Representative in our July 2026 Career Development Program. This role focuses on providing local employers with comprehensive insurance solutions while receiving intensive training and mentorship from industry experts.

Start Date: July 6, 2026

General Description

Program participants receive an 18‑month curriculum that blends classroom instruction, hands‑on experience, and mentorship. As a new associate, you will help employers with their insurance needs, gain confidence through mentorship from regional and national experts, and progressively take on greater responsibility.

What You’ll Learn
  • The USI process, developed from over 500,000 client experiences and industry best practices.
  • Foundational insurance coverages, program design, and risk‑management strategies in preparation for obtaining broker licenses.
  • The role of an insurance broker and current industry challenges.
  • Effective negotiation and client‑advocacy skills, including proactive, consultative service.
Program Overview

Over 1,300 hours of formal training and practical experience.

  • Training:
    Hands‑On
  • Months 1‑3: 100% training
  • Months 4‑6: 50% training; 50% fieldwork
  • Months 7‑18: 20% training; 80% fieldwork
  • Networking and relationship‑building skills
Technical Knowledge Training
  • Seven‑week coverage core
  • Advanced coverage topics
  • Subject matter expert sessions
  • Deep dive sessions
  • Industry best practices
  • Job shadowing
  • Designation program projects and assignments

Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (Spring ’25–Spring ’26)
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to take on responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
