Job Description Summary

Candidates should be passionate educators and practitioners who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st-century learners aspiring to practice in journalism as educators or journalists.

Responsibilities include:

• Demonstrating mastery of their discipline
• Supporting student success, achievement, and persistence in line with the college mission
• Utilizing technology competencies and teaching strategies that promote 21st-century literacies
• Using resources that prepare students for productive lives
• Employing educational technological mediums effectively

Minimum Education

Master’s degree in Italian or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Italian.

Minimum Experience/Training

• Prior college teaching experience preferred
• High computer literacy and a commitment to teaching
• Experience helping under-prepared students succeed academically
• Availability for office hours and possible evening/weekend hours
