Job DescriptionA substitute nurse is an on-call employee of a school. The nurse may be called the day before or early on the day of the absence of the regular nurse due to illness or other obligations. The nurse is responsible for carrying out the duties of the nurse for whom they are substituting and meeting the needs of students as outlined in laws and policies.

Position: SUBSTITUTE NURSE
Salary: $30.00/hour
Responsibilities- Assess students' health status and provide supervision regarding their health needs.
- Render first aid to students and staff as required during the school day.
- Provide information to staff or students with special health needs.
- Assist the principal in determining which students may need to be excluded in case of medical emergencies or epidemics.
- Follow all district policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Possess a current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in Wyoming.
