Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist (PSR) – Case Aide
Division of Youth Safety and Permanency, Child Welfare Program – Coeur d'Alene office, Idaho. This position requires working autonomously, within teams, and with other agencies while coordinating multiple tasks in support of children and families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Track child medical appointments and coordinate follow‑up services for vision, dental, medical, and medication care.
- Collect medical records and upload them to the electronic file system.
- Complete, submit, and track residential admission paperwork, including Medicaid processing.
- Make referrals to Idaho Infant Toddler Program and mental health services per standard guidance.
- Assist with coordination of school transportation for foster youth.
- Administer Independent Living assessment tool and make referrals.
- Coordinate parent participation in child routines and activities.
- Organize family team meetings and follow‑up tasks.
- Assist with paternity identification, Tribal notices, and relative support referrals.
- Complete Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) applications.
- Coordinate parent/child visits and track compliance with child court notifications.
- Complete collateral contacts with service providers.
Required qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Computer literacy for data entry, email, reporting, and document management.
- Good knowledge of human services principles and practices (behavioral management, social and family systems, cognitive behavioral education, and case management methods), typically gained by certification as a psychosocial rehabilitation specialist in accordance with USPRA requirements, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of Child and Family Services activities, programs, and policies.
