Location:

Coeur d’Alene,  – Panhandle Regional front office – Idaho Department of Fish and Game.

Role:
Dynamic, customer-focused front-line customer service representative under the supervision of the region’s Office Service Supervisor.

• Provide daily front-line customer service: greet and screen visitors and callers; answer regulation, map, and hunt unit questions; sell hunting and fishing licenses, tags, and permits; provide hunter education assistance; distribute informational material.
• Assist customers with issues such as road kills, injured or orphaned animals, depredation problems, live traps, and pest advice; handle harvested animals as needed.
• Perform office support functions: produce labels, forms, and routine letters; verify completeness of applications and forms; maintain record systems.
• Receive payments by cash, check or debit cards; reconcile sales reports and deposits.
• Respond in writing to requests for pertinent program information.

• At least 6 months full‑time experience interpreting, explaining, and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to customer processes.
• At least 6 months full‑time experience accessing data using a computerized system.
• At least 6 months full‑time experience independently handling complaints and upset individuals in a business setting.
• At least 6 months full‑time experience conducting sensitive fact‑finding interviews.
• At least 6 months full‑time experience working with multiple electronic devices and data records.
• Experience reviewing documents for compliance, answering a business telephone, cash handling, and sales reconciliation procedures.
