Requirements The

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education:

    DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school. Successful completion of an ADA-accredited Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry Program (Board Eligible / Certified preferred).
  • Licensure & Certification:
    Current Idaho dental license (or eligible by start date), DEA license, Idaho Controlled Substance Registration, NPI number, and active BLS certification.
  • Experience:

    If applicable, equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, and must be directly related to the functions and responsibilities of the job.
Your Essential Duties:

Clinical Care & Dental Procedures
  • Provides and assures comprehensive, quality-oriented, and cost-effective dental care to a wide variety of pediatric and special needs patients, ranging from compliant patients to those requiring minimal sedation or behavior management.
  • Conducts comprehensive, periodic, and limited oral examinations utilizing diagnostic adjuncts (e.g., x-rays, photos, etc.) for routine and emergency care.
  • Delivers preventive dental care including prophylaxis, topical fluoride/varnish application, oral hygiene instruction, nutritional counseling, sealants, and construction of space maintainers.
  • Performs restorative dentistry (composite resins, crowns, stainless steel crowns, post and core build-ups) and uncomplicated endodontics.
