  • Schedule/Shift/Hours Full Time - Days - 10 Hour Shifts

Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures. Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patient during pre-operation procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment
  • Assists in transporting patient to and from the operating room
  • Will be actively involved in process improvement projects
  • Works mainly in CVOR, but may float to Main Operating Room
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
  • 2 years’ experience, CVOR preferred
  • Operating room experience required
  • Competent in more than two specialty areas
  • Must be certified to perform CPR
  • BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
  • Typical equipment used in a clinical job
  • Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend
