Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, prepares, compounds, and dispenses medical orders/prescriptions.
Responsibilities- May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department
- Receives and stores incoming supplies
- Verifies stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
- Communicates effectively with customers
- Performs a variety of tasks
- Typically reports to supervisor or manager
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the patients served
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must be a graduate of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent work experience
- Must have a Pharmacy Technician license with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy
- Demonstrated ability to use computer skills including keyboarding and practical data entry into data based software programs
- BLS required
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to maintain a standing position
- Typical equipment used in a clinical job
- Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
