Surgical Core Technician

• Department Perioperative Services - Operating Room
• Schedule/Shift/Hours Full Time - Variable

Assists with the daily coordination of case carts containing surgical supplies, instrumentation and equipment necessary to perform surgical procedures in the Main Operating Room.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains the surgical core area for cleanliness and organization of surgical equipment and instruments
• May assist with the transfer of patients to and from the operating room table
• Performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
:

• High school graduate (or GED) or equivalent preferred
• Must have a current CNA license in the State of Idaho required OR equivalent combination of education and related experience is required
• BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver and KH BLS during General Orientation

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job
• Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
• Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
