Medical Records Specialist

Salary: $17.50–$24.50 per hour (varies by experience).

OverviewBeacon Clinic is a patient‑focused health and wellness clinic dedicated to providing high‑quality medical care. Founded to treat cancer and blood conditions, we now offer oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, rheumatology, and urology services.
Responsibilities- Ensure medical records are organized, accurate, complete, and safeguarded in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Prepare patient charts and gather required information and documents from patients.
- Create digital copies of paperwork and file records electronically in the facility’s database.
- Process medical records for patient admissions and discharges.
- Operate computer, scanner, fax, copier, and use multiple medical software programs.
- Provide backup coverage for Reception and New Patient Coordinator as needed.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
