Position: Cardiology Tech I
  • Schedule/Shift/Hours Full Time - Variable

Position Summary
:

Performs diagnostic tests to help physicians diagnose and treat cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Performs electrocardiograms according to established policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates sound technical skills in operating all equipment and in obtaining optimal test results
  • Provides data for diagnosis of cardiovascular disorders
  • Prepares and maintains treatment rooms and equipment, keeping the rooms stocked and clean
  • Perform a variety of tasks
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrated ability to read cardiac arrhythmias
  • Successful completion of Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation course within six months of hire required
  • Previous patient care experience required
  • BLS required
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
  • Typical equipment used in a clinical job
  • Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend
  • Must be able to assist in patient transfer
  • Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs
