Business Analyst

North Idaho College is seeking a collaborative and solutions-driven Business Analyst to join our IT team. In this role, you’ll act as an essential connector between IT and departments across campus - helping ensure that technology supports institutional goals, operational efficiency, and a great user experience.

You’ll lead process-improvement initiatives, partnering with academic and administrative units to understand their needs and document requirements. You’ll translate business goals into functional specifications for IT teams and vendors; assist in configuring enterprise applications; and help plan, test, and implement new systems and enhancements. You will facilitate workshops and interviews to map workflows, identify pain points, and align technology solutions with campus processes.

You’ll develop use cases, process diagrams, and documentation; coordinate user acceptance testing; and provide training and support to ensure successful adoption. The role also includes project management responsibilities—defining scope, timelines, and deliverables and occasional after-hours support during high-impact system changes.

We’re looking for someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and facilitation abilities; and a talent for translating business needs into technical requirements. Success in this role requires comfort navigating complex systems, familiarity with ERP/CRM platforms, and proficiency with process-modeling and documentation tools. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities while building effective relationships across the college.

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and two years full-time equivalent experience in business analysis or a similar role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Starting pay range: $65,223 - $78,267

Pay Grade: P8
