ILAS is seeking a full‑time Managing Attorney for its Coeur d’Alene Office. The Managing Attorney will oversee the day‑to‑day activities of the office, supervise and mentor the attorneys and support staff assigned to the office, engage in direct representation of clients, and ensure compliance with ILAS policies and procedures.

• Oversee the office’s daily operations, ensuring compliance with ILAS policies and procedures related to client cases, office conduct, and administrative deadlines.
• Supervise and mentor attorneys and support staff, evaluating performance of oral and written advocacy, and providing consistent performance feedback.
• Use ILAS’s case‑management system, including periodic case reviews.
• Communicate ILAS policies and procedures to staff and coach them to meet expectations.
• Work with the Executive and Deputy Directors to ensure effective representation and compliance with ILAS policies and the Idaho State Bar Rules of Professional Conduct.
• Promote a respectful workplace, fostering cooperation among staff, and collaborate with the Deputy Director to identify training needs.
• Monitor the office’s budget and expenses, identifying issues that affect clients and/or staff.

The Managing Attorney’s direct representation of clients will include representation across several practice areas but will focus on: serving survivors of domestic or sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking with their civil legal needs; housing law; elder law; and tribal law practice with the Coeur d’Alene Tribe in matters of civil and criminal legal representation.

Coeur d’Alene is a small, picturesque resort community nestled in the foothills of the Selkirk Mountain range on the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene. It is the largest city in the Idaho Panhandle and the metropolitan area includes the nearby city of Spokane, WA. Coeur d’Alene is known for its five‑star amenities in a rugged setting and its four‑season beauty and recreation.

It is the playground of the Pacific Northwest and boasts a championship golf course, lake cruises, ample shopping, spas, and water recreation, and nearby Silverwood Theme Park and Silver Mountain Resort, a ski resort with an indoor water park.

This is a full‑time position of 37.5 hours per week. The attorney would be eligible to participate in a limited telecommuting program after two (2) months of working S provides excellent opportunities for meaningful work and the professional growth of its employees.
