Patient Placement Coordinator (RN)

Full Time - Days - 12 Hour Shifts
Responsible for consistent information exchange and communication between nursing administration and staff regarding proper physician and bed placement. Prioritizes and makes decisions for timely transfers based on acuity, diagnosis, preference, bed availability, and staffing resources.
Responsibilities- Maintains accurate Patient Transfer Center records and statistics and other data as requested
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with federal regulations that guide the transfer of patients between facilities and policy enforcement
- Performs a variety of tasks
- A degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program
- Licensed RN with a minimum 3 years’ patient-facing RN experience at time of hire, ADN or diploma required; BSN or higher preferred
- All non-BSN RN's with less than 3 years’ patient-facing RN experience at time of hire are required to be enrolled in a baccalaureate (or higher) degree program in nursing within 1 year of employment, with completion within 3 years of hire
- State of Idaho Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with Idaho
- Critical Care and/ or Emergency Nursing preferred
- BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation
- Must be able to maintain a sitting position
- Typical equipment used in an office job
- Repetitive movements
