Manager, Security Services – Kootenai Health

What You’ll Do

Lead and oversee all Security Services operations, including staffing, scheduling, training, and professional development.

Maintain a visible security presence, ensuring the protection of patients, staff, visitors, property, and assets.

Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to design, enforce, and improve security policies and procedures.

Assess risks, develop proactive solutions, and drive cultural change through education, training, and leadership.

Work closely with the Director of Safety, Security, and Emergency Management on compliance, policy enforcement, and emergency preparedness initiatives.

Manage budgets, resources, and operations while fostering a team culture of accountability, growth, and excellence.

Educate, coach, and inspire staff, with the authority to certify others in key security programs and backup training roles.

Exercise creativity, independent judgment, and leadership to accomplish goals and meet evolving security challenges.

What We’re Looking For

AA degree OR four years of full‑time supervisory security experience required; advanced certifications, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Proven experience in healthcare security operations and management.

Instructor/trainer experience with the ability to certify staff in key programs.

Required certifications: MOAB, HICS, NIMS.

Valid motor vehicle license with willingness to operate vehicles in the course of employment.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; new employees will receive Kootenai Health BLS training within 60 days of hire.
