Field Service Engineer – Medical Device & Biotech Industry

Location:

On-site, Monday – Friday
Salary: $87,095 – $95,500/year + bonus & stock options
Travel Requirement: 30% (customer site visits & field service support)

What You’ll Do:
  • Troubleshoot electromechanical sterilization systems and perform root cause analysis.
  • Execute validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new and existing equipment.
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning.
  • Provide preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, R&D, and Commercial teams for continuous improvement.
  • Develop technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Education:

    BS in Engineering or Science (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience:

    Minimum 5+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Hands‑on electrical troubleshooting & validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
    • Proficiency in ISO 13485, ISO 9001, 21 CFR Part 820.
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, multi‑axis graphs).
  • Bonus

    Skills:
    • Ability to create technical documentation & training materials.
Success in This Role Looks Like:
  • 3‑6 Months:
    Master troubleshooting & preventative maintenance.
  • 6‑12 Months:
    Lead root cause analyses and provide expert‑level support.
