We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to manage and oversee trust accounting functions within our educational institutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in trust accounting, preferably within a school or college setting, and will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance to the Directors.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations related to trust accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Accounting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, ensuring financial statements are prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Audit: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, addressing any issues and implementing recommendations.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports to the Directors, providing insights and recommendations.
- Advisory: Offer strategic financial advice to support decision-making processes.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
- 5-10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on trust accounting.
- Prior experience in a school or college setting or educational Trust is desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with financial management in educational institutions.
- Familiarity with trust accounting standards and practices.
- Experience in preparing and managing budgets in a school or college environment.
