Surgery Surgical Technologist PRN

Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, or "CRMC", is a 25-bed, non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. The Certified Surgical Technologist prepares operating rooms and necessary equipment and instruments prior to any surgical procedure. S/he assists in preparing patients for surgery to help provide exceptional patient experience.

• Prepare sterile operating rooms for surgeries, including sterilize equipment and instruments
• Stock adequate supplies for surgery and track surgical supplies
• Provide support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies
• Stay current on surgical technology, medical terminology and procedures
• Work well with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses and surgical team to provide exceptional patient experience

The Surgical Technologist assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills, required
• Strong attention to detail, vigilance and meticulous care on the job, required
• Passion for keeping people safe, required
• Strong understanding of surgical technology, medical terminology and surgical procedure, required

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program, preferred
• BLS required
