** As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.
There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

** Required Technical and Professional Expertise
** Over 5 Years of Experience in Mainframe Print Services Administration and Architecture
** 1. Mainframe Printing Concepts
*** Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of mainframe print architecture, including JES (Job Entry Subsystem) operations and effective spool/queue management.

** Mainframe Job Control Language (JCL)
*** Proficient in developing and troubleshooting JCL for print jobs, with expertise in managing pertinent DD statements (SYSOUT, PRINTER).
** 3. Printer Device Knowledge
*** Possesses hands-on experience with mainframe printers such as IBM 3800, 3900, etc., and is knowledgeable about printer communication protocols including SNA and TCP/IP.
** 4. Print Software Tools
*** Well-versed in print management applications such as AFP and IBM Infoprint Manager, along with utilities like SDSF.
** 5. Spool and Queue Management
*** Skilled at overseeing JES spools and output queues and resolving issues related to stuck or failed print jobs efficiently.
** 6. Output Formatting and Layout
*** Experienced in preparing and formatting reports for mainframe printing, utilizing tools such as DFSORT or Syncsort for optimal output.
** 7. Troubleshooting and Support
*** Capable of diagnosing complex print job challenges and collaborating with hardware teams to facilitate printer maintenance and support.
** 8. Scripting and Automation
*** Adept at scripting (REXX or CLIST) to automate and optimize print processes.
** Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
*** Solid grasp of network printing protocols; foundational knowledge of OS/390, z/OS, or equivalent mainframe operating systems.
