SAP Supply Chain Management SME

• Utilize SAP's official sizing questionnaire to determine appropriate hardware specifications (CPU, RAM, disk)
• Collaborate with SAP consultants for complex or large-scale optimization models
• Ensure hardware meets requirements for Windows-based SCM Optimizer Server deployments

• Perform regular database maintenance including defragmentation and SQL query optimization
• Configure SAP Message Server for efficient request distribution and load balancing
• Implement caching strategies to improve data access and reduce database load
• Optimize network performance including DNS response times and traffic management
• Monitor and tune system parameters (memory, processes, network) for sustained performance

• Consolidate physical hardware or implement virtualization to improve resource utilization
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery configurations are in place

• Continuously monitor SCM server performance metrics
• Provide recommendations and implement tuning adjustments based on system behavior

• 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration, with a focus on SCM systems
• Strong understanding of SAP SCM Optimizer Server architecture and sizing methodologies
• Experience with database optimization and server virtualization
• Familiarity with SAP Message Server configuration and load balancing techniques
• Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
