Under general supervision and according to established policy and procedures the tool and die maker is responsible for performing his/her own set‑ups andारोहing all necessary components required to complete assignments given to support all manufacturing product lines.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities- Strong understanding of slip and press fit relationships.
- Repair Header tools and make complete header tool components.
- Work with carbide, hardened tool steels, dies and cutting tools to close tolerance.
- Work with mills, lathes, surface grinders, hones, and fixtures.
- Use shop math as required.
- Clean and maintain the work area.

- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Use measuring instruments (i.e., micrometers, calipers, comparators).
- Minimum of 3‑5 years’ experience as a tool maker for a manufacturing facility.
