PROFILE:
Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor (School of Sports Science)
The School of Sport Sciences offers an Innovative technology driven and friendly academic environment for talented individuals to excel, whose research and teaching interests and experiences align with and extend the existing strengths of the department. We seek to appoint a talented individual to the role of either Assistant Professor or Associate Professor and we welcome applications from those with research and teaching interests in Sport and exercise physiology, Biomechanics or a related field.

We are looking to appoint a high-quality individual who wants to join a multi-disciplinary team and would actively contribute to the strategic development of our recently established department.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidates must be able to deliver teaching in the areas of sport and exercise physiology, and quantitative research methods.
Applicants must have experience with and be able to teach practical activities as well as theoretical subjects within the subject area.
Basic skills in planning, evaluation and development of teaching and supervision.
Teach and supervise students at bachelor’s level within the subject area, conduct research and disseminate research results within relevant research areas at the department, and contribute to the development of partnerships with businesses.
Supervise student project work and placement on independent learning modules at undergraduate level.
Develop collaborations with the current academic staff, and staff in the associated Schools and research institutes.
Develop collaborations with academics and research groups internationally.
Demonstrate their ability to promote this area of study via national and international networks.
Lead the development and use of inclusive research and impact practices within and beyond the sport and exercise sciences globally.
Readiness to learn as a team and able to prioritize the team goals.
Dedication towards delivering high quality work for the betterment of the department and the students.
Contributing to the administration and management of the department, undertaking leadership and management roles appropriate to their career stage.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
PhD or equivalent qualification in Sports Science/related field.
Masters in Sports & Conditioning experts /Exercise Science /Sports Science/ Sports Coaching & Exercise Science or Strength & Conditioning equivalent from any recognized University/ Institution with CPSS/CSCS certification, minimum 2 years of Industry experience & UGC NET Qualification.
Excellent people skills and communication.
