About Peaceful Psychotherapy
Peaceful Psychotherapy is a growing U.S.
-based mission-driven psychotherapy practice.
Our mission is:
“To redefine therapy with creative tools, progress you can measure, and next-level therapist development.”
We are trying to build something different and special: a clinical organization where therapist development is taken seriously, outcomes are measured thoughtfully, feedback is part of everyday practice, and strong ideas from psychotherapy research are actually implemented.
Our work is informed by Routine Outcome Monitoring (ROM), Feedback-Informed Treatment (FIT), deliberate practice, therapist effects, therapeutic alliance, clinical supervision, and the use of recordings and feedback to support clinician growth.
For us, innovation means taking strong ideas and building the systems that make them work in the real world.
Peaceful is ambitious, but our culture is also warm, informal, collaborative, and often lighthearted. We take the work seriously without creating unnecessary formality around it. People laugh, share ideas openly, ask questions, and enjoy working together.
Our three core values are:
Commitment to Mastery — We value learning, reflection, measurement, practice, curiosity, and continual professional growth.
Authentic Workplace Care — We want people to genuinely care about the colleagues they work with. High standards and ambition should coexist with kindness, warmth, humor, and respect.
Feedback-Informed — We value useful feedback from clients, colleagues, supervisors, and data, and the willingness to use that feedback constructively.
About the role
We are hiring a psychology professional to work closely with our CEO on our therapist-effectiveness and clinical-outcomes initiatives.
The role combines psychology, research, data, project implementation, and therapist development . You might spend one day studying psychotherapy research and another helping implement an outcomes platform, analyze data, or solve a workflow problem.
We are looking for someone curious, organized, clinically thoughtful, comfortable with data, and excited to develop deep expertise while helping us build something new.
Outcome Monitoring & Data
One of your first major projects will be helping implement Routine Outcome Monitoring across the practice , drawing from established FIT/ROM guidance and using MyOutcomes.
You may help:
• Learn FIT/ROM and become highly proficient with My Outcomes
• Configure and test clinician and client workflows
• Track adoption, completion, and data quality
• Organize and analyze therapist-level outcome data
• Build useful spreadsheets, reports, and charts
• Troubleshoot workflow and data problems
You do not need to be a data scientist, but you should be comfortable with spreadsheets and quantitative information.
Experience with research, statistics, measurement, or clinical outcome data is valuable.
Research and working with the CEO
A significant part of the role will involve reading and synthesizing work on therapist effectiveness, including Scott Miller, Daryl Chow, FIT/ROM, deliberate practice, therapist effects, alliance, feedback, and supervision.
You may read books, research articles, meta-analyses, manuals, lectures, and interviews and then discuss what you are learning directly with the CEO.
We want someone who genuinely enjoys reading and thinking — someone who can identify the important ideas, understand the evidence, connect different sources, organize what we learn, and help us determine what is useful in practice.
Over time, we hope you become an intellectual partner in this work .
Project Implementation
We need someone who can turn ideas into systems that actually work.
You may help:
• Break initiatives into manageable projects
• Create plans, trackers, and timelines
• Test and coordinate implementation
• Document workflows
• Identify and troubleshoot problems
• Follow through until systems are working consistently
We value someone who can move easily between thinking and doing . Peaceful is growing quickly, so we value depth and thoughtfulness alongside responsiveness, ownership, and momentum.
