The Role:

Product Trainer
We're building out our Product Education and Enablement function, and we need someone who can turn complex product features into clear, engaging training materials and documentation that our customers actually use.
As our Product Trainer, you'll own the complete training lifecycle from understanding what's being built to creating training assets, release communications, and support materials. You'll embed with engineering, product, and customer success teams to anticipate customer questions and remove friction before it happens.

What You'll Do:
Training & Documentation Creation
Deliver new joiners onboarding training to ensure a smooth transition into Run Loyal's product ecosystem
Design and manage employee onboarding training programs using LMS platforms to standardize learning across teams
Develop comprehensive training guides, user manuals, and onboarding materials for different user personas (business owners, staff, pet parents)
Create step-by-step tutorials, video scripts, and knowledge base articles
Maintain and regularly update the knowledge base to reflect product changes, new features, and evolving customer needs
Build API documentation and developer guides for partners and integrations (nice to have)
Maintain and evolve our end-to-end documentation lifecycle as the product grows
Release Notes & Product Communication
Craft clear, benefit-focused release notes that help customers understand new features
Translate technical changes into language that resonates with non-technical pet care business owners
Communicate product updates and improvements in multiple formats (email, in-app, documentation)
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Engineering, Product, and QA teams to understand features before launch
Ask the questions customers will ask anticipating confusion and clarifying ambiguity early
Conduct product discovery sessions to understand the "why" behind features, not just the "what"
Collaborate with Customer Success to identify training gaps and improve enablement
Tooling & Process
Work with Markdown, Git workflows, and documentation platforms
Manage documentation in version control alongside code releases
Create structured, scalable training content that grows with the product
Own the quality, accuracy, and accessibility of all customer-facing training materials

Who You Are
Core Strengths
You have 3-5+ years of experience creating training materials, user guides, or technical documentation for SaaS products
Hands-on experience with LMS platforms (TalentLMS, Docebo, or similar) for managing and delivering training programs
You have experience with API documentation and can explain integrations clearly (nice to have)
You excel at crafting release notes that make customers excited (or at least informed) about updates
You understand that good training materials aren't just features — they're about solving customer problems
Your Approach
You're naturally curious and ask thoughtful questions to understand what you're training on
You embed with teams, not just receive specifications
You write for clarity: you remove jargon, anticipate confusion, and structure information logically
You can adapt your communication style from technical API docs to "this is how pet owners will use your app"
You're detail-oriented and treat accuracy as non-negotiable
Technical Comfort
Proficiency with Markdown, Git workflows, and documentation platforms (Document
360, Notion, etc.)

Experience with LMS platforms for course creation and training delivery

Experience with API documentation tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar (nice to have)
Comfortable reviewing technical specifications and translating them into user-friendly content
Ability to learn tools quickly you're not intimidated by new platforms

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with SaaS product training or B2B customer education
Familiarity with LMS administration and course-building tools
Familiarity with video production or screen recording for tutorials
Background in customer success, onboarding, or product management
API documentation experience
Understanding of pet care, veterinary compliance, or business operations software
