Dr. P. Namperumalsamy Regional Research Centre (PNRRC), Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore, invites applications from highly motivated and qualified candidates for the following position under the VELUX-funded project “ ARIDE-CAP:
Strengthening Clinical, Molecular, and Computational Research Capacity for Inherited Retinal Diseases in India (Aravind Registry for Inherited Diseases of the Eye – Capacity Building Program)”

Biorepository Technician – 1 position
Qualifications :

B.Sc. Life Science graduates with a strong passion for scientific research and a demonstrated interest in long-term career development in clinical and genetic research are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, label, log and store blood and DNA samples with full chain of custody, carry out DNA isolation and QC, and maintain the EDTA tube inventory and minus 80 storage. Coordinate batched shipment to the sequencing lab, keep all sample records linked to registry IDs, monitor freezers, and follow SOPs throughout.

Required Skills:

Sample tracking or LIMS, lab discipline, and a working understanding of the full sequencing workflow from draw to report.
Salary:  ₹20,000 – ₹25,000/ month (Commensurate with qualifications and experience)
