SummaryTown & Country Early Learning Center is looking for Lead Preschool Teachers to join our team of educators working with children aged 3-5 and/or before and after school. Applicants must be interested in supporting our mission to provide a nurturing, educational, and secure environment for young children. No weekends! No nights! The center is cleaned at night by a cleaning company.
Preschool teachers are responsible for the supervision of up to 10 children ages 3-5 years.
Full time positions available.
Duties- Using positive discipline techniques to support independence, self-regulation, and social skills
- Supporting children in developing self‑help skills
- Record keeping
- Communicating with families
- Maintaining confidentiality
- Maintaining conduct and professionalism
- Creating and maintaining a safe, learning environment
- Creating and implementing curriculum that supports children's growth and development in alignment with the CTELDS
- Gathering data regarding children's growth and development in alignment with the CTDOTS
- Maintaining required certifications – CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, Background checks, CT Charts‑A‑Course Registry, current statement of good health
- Demonstrating reliability and punctuality
Teachers must have earned an Associate's or B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field – or be in the process.
