A leading accountancy firm is seeking an Audit Executive to join its Colchester office.

This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious auditor looking to take the next step in a progressive, people-focused firm. You will work within a dynamic audit team, delivering high-quality assignments across a varied client portfolio while building strong, trusted relationships.

• Delivering high-quality audit assignments across a range of sectors
• Supporting audit planning and identifying key audit and fraud risks
• Completing audit fieldwork and assisting with completion processes
• Preparing audit documentation and contributing to statutory accounts work
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Understanding client objectives and providing practical, tailored insights
• Liaising with internal specialists where required
• Driving continuous improvement through research, planning and use of technology Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Demonstrable UK external audit experience
• Strong technical knowledge including recent accounting standards developments
• Proficient in Excel and Word, with experience of Case Ware advantageous
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Commercially aware and client-focused
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Comfortable working to deadlines
• Positive, proactive and collaborative approach
