A well-established, client-focused accountancy practice is looking for an Audit and Accounts Supervisor to join it's Romford office.

This is a hands‑on role with a 60/40 split between audit and accounts work. You'll be involved in all aspects of client engagements including audits, preparation of accounts, bookkeeping, payroll, and VAT, while supervising and mentoring junior staff.

• Lead and manage audit assignments, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
• Prepare statutory accounts and financial statements across a variety of clients.
• Oversee bookkeeping, payroll processing, and VAT submissions.
• Review junior staff work and provide coaching and development support.
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as a key contact for queries.
• Support management with planning and team coordination.
• Identify additional service opportunities for clients.

• Qualified ACA/ACCA or part‑qualified with strong audit and accounts experience.
• Solid practice background covering both audit and accounts preparation.
• Hands‑on experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and VAT.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client assignments independently.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and client‑focused.
