Trainee Accountant

Londons Professional Accountants is a London based accountancy practice. We work with small and growing businesses and look after their bookkeeping, accounts, VAT and payroll, so business owners can focus on running their company. We believe in training people properly and giving them space to grow, which is why we are happy to bring someone in at the start of their career and support them all the way into a full accountant role.

This role is for someone who genuinely wants to build a career in accounting or bookkeeping, even if you are just starting out. Experience is not essential, but a real interest in finance is. If you are organised, good with numbers, and keen to learn on the job, we would love to hear from you. Full training is provided. What you will be doing:
Keeping financial records accurate and up to date. Helping with sales and purchase ledger. Processing invoices, payments, and expenses. Assisting with bank reconciliations. Supporting the team with monthly and quarterly accounts (training provided). Helping with VAT returns (training provided). Learning payroll basics over time (training provided).

What you will need:

A genuine interest in building a career in accounting or finance, not just looking for any office job. A good eye for detail and a willingness to learn. Comfortable with numbers and basic computer skills. A positive attitude and a team first approach. Nice to have (not essential): A degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related subject. AAT studying or an interest in studying towards it.

Any exposure to accounting software like Xero, Sage or Quick Books. Any office or finance work experience, even part time. What you will get: A friendly and supportive team.
