An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Divisional PA within the Cancer and Diagnostics Division based across Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals
This post is fixed term / secondment to cover maternity leave until 31st January 2027.
Although cross-site this role includes the ability to work flexibly & remotely when appropriate, consideration will be given tohome working for part of the week.
You will be required to provide efficient and pro‑active secretarial/admin support to the Divisional Management team and senior team members within the Division.
We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic individual who has excellent personal assistant, organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills, and a high level knowledge of Microsoft Office software, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
You will need to be organised with the ability to manage competing demands on a daily basis.
The role involves a wide range of administrative tasks, including diary management, email management and providing a comprehensive secretarial service.
Main duties of the job- Be responsible for the day‑to‑day planning and prioritising of workload, being proactive in supporting the divisional leadership team.
- Take a proactive approach in planning and be responsible for organising meetings, conferences, events management.
- Be responsible for monitoring stock within the divisional leadership team, using electronic systems to ensure all orders are processed correctly.
- Be responsible for ensuring all specified tasks are completed within the agreed timeframe.
- To assist with project planning development and implementation stages if appropriate.
- Organise, support and coordinate the Divisional Board including agenda preparation and dissemination, report gathering, minute taking, support the Divisional Communications strategy.

Person Specification Experience- Proven experience in PA role with a proven track record of achievement.
- Experience of setting up a successful filing system and electronic diary management system
- Experience of minute taking
- Experience of contributing to the development and delivery of business plans to support corporate objectives.
- Evidence of successful management of change within office environment
- Experience of supporting organisation communication strategies
- Short-hand experience
- Minimum 2 x A levels or equivalent experience
- Evidence of administration related further education, eg NVQ L3, OCR, RSAII, AMSPAR or equivalent experience
- ECDL
