Vehicle Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a reputable, family-run automotive service centre in Colchester, Essex. Competitive basic salary from £40,000 to £50,000, subject to experience
Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with weekends off

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify faults accurately
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using OE diagnostic equipment
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques efficiently
Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for precise repairs
Maintain detailed records of all work performed in accordance with company standards
Assist with vehicle assembly or disassembly during refurbishment projects

Requirements:

Full NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Vehicle Mechanics
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or MOT Technician
Strong diagnostic skills with great attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
Fully qualified with a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship
