Finance, Planning and Data Insight

We’re looking for an analytical, collaborative Planning and Data Insight Officer to join our Finance, Planning and Data Insight team. You’ll play a central role in delivering high-quality data insights, performance reporting and strategic analysis that support evidence-based decision‑making across the University.

• Analyse internal and external datasets to inform strategic priorities.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Tableau and other BI tools.
• Support monitoring of the University’s Strategic Plan and key performance indicators.
• Produce clear, insightful written reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on interpreting league tables, surveys and performance measures.
• Build strong relationships across Schools, Faculties and Professional Services.
• Contribute to statutory returns and develop understanding of HESA/Heidi data.
• Identify new data sources and support continuous improvement in planning processes.

You will have strong data analysis skills, experience with BI tools, excellent communication abilities and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels. You’ll be highly organised, detail‑focused and able to manage competing priorities. An honours degree (or equivalent) is essential.
