My client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join their Colchester head office. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional with a strong background in flooring or tiling projects to take on a key leadership role within a growing and dynamic business.

You will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects from tender stage through to final account, ensuring profitability, cost control, and contractual compliance throughout.

• Manage all commercial aspects of projects from tender to completion
• Prepare, submit, and negotiate contracts, valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Monitor budgets, costs, and overall project performance
• Work closely with project teams and clients to ensure commercial efficiency and delivery
• Provide strategic input on procurement and subcontractor management
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities

• Proven experience working on flooring or tiling projects
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation skills
• Confident in managing contracts and financial reporting
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
