Position: SHEQ Advisor - M&E Contractor
GDS Partners are recruiting an EHS Advisor on behalf of a well-established M&E Contractor for a permanent position in Colchester.

About the role
 
Colchester - based role.
Join a growing and well-respected M&E contractor.
£45,000 - £55,000 + package.
Permanent position with excellent long-term career progression.  Main duties will include, but not be limited to:  
Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
Review and monitor RAMS, permits to work, and other EHS documentation.
Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks.
Provide practical Health & Safety advice and support to site management and project teams.
Monitor EHS performance and prepare reports where required.
Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement across all projects.  To be successful in your application, you will possess the following:  
A relevant Health & Safety qualification, e.g., NEBOSH
Previous experience within the construction or M&E sector.
Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
